Thanks for feedback guys, I really like this tune too I practiced it without hurry for almost 8 days. I did short recording sessions for 30-40 minutes each once or twice a day (aside from some practice playing through tube amp w/o backing track) and today I've managed to get this take. I think I should try Preaching Gospel Blues next. It is the most charming tune in the book IMHO, and it is very tricky in certain parts. I'll skip Hard Edge Blues for now, because I think that it is necessary to finish prerequisite - Getting Funky After PGB, of course! I hope I'll record all of these three until New Year.

I've just noticed that I played the measure #6 in Major Blues recording in wrong way Without this note in parentheses, 10th fret on D string. Some breaking news after week of practice... I think I should check the tablature more often

Good job, Silverthorne. I think it sounds good. I like this study a lot. Anybody know which Stevie Ray Vaughn song is similar to this? Yeah, that's it. I couldn't remember the name.

Here is my sloppy rendition of Blue Sixths (to break the silence!) I am playing it in a very strange way, as I mentioned before in one of Weekly Update threads.
I couldn't get significantly better version in last two recording sessions, so I decided to let it be.

That sounds really good to me. Interesting hybrid picking technique are you using the pick with your thumb or just holding the pick and using your fingertips?

Nicely done, Silverthorne. The second time through sounded better to me than the first. Rich, looks like he's using his thumb instead of the pick when he's hybrid picking.

So your just holding your pick between your fingers and using fingers only? I see you using your thumb but can't tell if your using the pick also or just holding.

Nicely done, Silverthorne. It's very smooth and laid back. That technique of tucking the pick away and bringing it back out smoothly and quickly is quite impressive. 2 guitarists that come to who do this frequently are Buddy Guy and Jack Pearson. I've never tried it. I just know I'll drop the pick.

So your just holding your pick between your fingers and using fingers only? I see you using your thumb but can't tell if your using the pick also or just holding. I'm using the pick when I'm playing single notes, I'm holding it as intended - between thumb and index. And when I'm playing simultaneous notes - I'm holding the pick between middle and index after quick swap and I'm picking the strings with thumb and middle. I tried to play this tune with fingers only, but it is very challenging in that fast parts.
