Hi Guys, I know I posted v1 of Chord On Bleu, worked on it a lot today and wanted to have some quick listens to see if I have the timing better this round. I appreciate you taking time out to give me another listen. soundcloud.com/alabama-blues/chord-on-bleuv2Thanks, Rich

Well Rich it's definitely improved, so congratulations on that, but it's still got a little ways to go If you listen to the beginning of bar 7 with the two double stops, the single note, and the two more double stops, you get the timing pretty close on that one. There's a little pause between the 4th and 5th fret double stops the second time though - you need to play the beginning of bars 5, 6 and 8 with that same timing. It's like dah-dah-da-daaaahhhh-daaaaahhh. The single note stuff just sounds a little rough, like it just needs more practice to get it smoothed out I think.

Thanks Jack, I knew it was off around the middle but couldn't pick out the problem. My son said the same thing off in the middle but couldn't say what it is. I probably need to look at the book again and count the notes. Anyway thanks now I have a spot to work on.

Rich, I don't have the book in front of me to point out the exact measures, but it sounds like those fills between the double stops are throwing you off. They're fast and there can't be any hesitation getting back to the double stops, and you are hesitating. Once again I'm going to point out that if you can't play something slowly and in perfect time then you can't play it fast and in time.
Slow down. There's no shortcut. Monotonous, repetitious, and precise practice is the only way to get this more complicated stuff under control.
The rhythm part sounds good, but it's hard to tell. Can you post a version without the lead?
