Well, if there was ever a finger-twister, this is it. The "lead" was a struggle to work through - jumping chord shapes, etc. Listening back, I should have changed the strings before recording this one, the lead sounds a little "flat" to my ear, but the guitar was definately in tune, honest! Added some chorus on neck pickup for the rhythm part and used the bridge pickup with reverb for the lead to try to create some tonal differences (they muddied together too much on the same pickup setting). As usual, I created the drum track using Hydrogen and attempted to create the drum-snap(?!?) in the empty portions of the playing as the original has it. Am glad to have this one down (even if it's a little rough at the edges). Time to move on to the next, seems I'm a glutten for punishment soundcloud.com/wannalearnguitar/rabycu-slow-dance-dreamsThoughts and comments welcome

I think it sounds good. I think you did a great job creating separate sounds to distinguish the guitar parts. The playing sounds very nice and clean to me, as well. Definitely sounds like you're ready to push onward! Great job! Bruce

Nice job with that WPB, I also found the lead part a struggle to get smooth but I guess the idea is to keep on pushing past the blockages. Definitely ready for the next one

That was a great sounding recording. Very smooth playing, nice and clean, and concise. Nicely done.

WPB,
The playing is good. Sounds like a tricky tune to play. I kinda like the sound (tone) of the rhythm guitar more than the lead. The leads sounds a little thin. However, the important part is that you played it well.

However, the important part is that you played it well. Yeah, I know what you mean about the Lead tone. It's tough. If I put both parts down with the neck pickup I feel it's too much in the same tonal range. It's a hard one to get right - but I'm glad you thought I played it well

I agree great job, nice clean chording! I agree with Phil tone sounding a bit thin on the rythm, you could probably EQ it bit to bring up the lower end or back off the high end a little. The important part though is the playing and I think you nailed it.

It's a hard one to get right - but I'm glad you thought I played it well I tend to use the neck pup on my Squier Strat for almost everything. Sometimes I'll use the bridge and middle pup setting when I want a more twangy, trebley kind of sound (Sweet Home Chicago, Delta Mood Swampified). The bridge pup by itself sounds horrible through my modeling software. What I do is change the tone of each guitar with the software. On "Groovin' Easy" both guitars are using the neck pup, but the I'm using different settings in the software.

Sounding great WPB, you've definitely got that song down! Those quick chord changes are tough and you pulled them off nicely. About the only nitpick I'd have would be the lead guitar sound like you guys have been talking about; it's a bit thin. You want to keep the rhythm and lead guitars separated, but I guess the trick is to do it very subtly
