So last night I was sitting around surfing the forums after getting in some practice (Delta Mood). For fun, I clicked on the page 28 box at the top of this forum and started reading / scanning old posts. This took me to about the fall of 2013 (time machine). It was great reading some of your original posts, just starting lessons in BYCU, and posting recordings. First, man you guys have come a LONG way. It's awesome to see your progress and think that I could have similar results, just sticking it out for the long haul. Second, it's awesome to see you guys still hanging out here and having fun. I dig it! Now the gems: someone asked if anyone could play Crossroads - what a great hidden Clapton video gem in that thread. Very cool. Next, someone posted a list of all of the tempo's for each of the backing tracks to BYCU. Just what I wanted. Then there was Joachim asking about muting open strings on Delta Mood - yep, I was just focusing on that earlier the same evening. Right behind it, was Mick posting a variation of a Delta Mood style song (which was awesome), and an even cooler SRV Boogie. Then the post about 12/8 timing. Man it's like I was sent to those threads by the Blues spirits, just to get my answers... A lot of times I read through forums and under a flaming ton of crap, there may be a tiny gem. No ton of crap here, and loads of gems. Anyway, just thought I would share and say 'thanks' for all of the old posts and great information from deep in the archives.

Chris,
That's pretty cool. Yeah, I'm absolutely positive that you can have similar results, if you stick with the program. I think it's well worth it. Hope you do to - we're all here to help anyway we can.

Thanks Chris I forgot about that post about the tempo I need to go dig it out. I know for me this program has been great, the books are excellent but the support from the active members is what has really made it great. The active members maybe fairly small but I feel like I have made an excellent group of friends as well. I am glad to see some new active members in our group, stick it out and in 3 months go back and listen to a current recording then your first recording of yourself and you will the the progress, I cringe every time I here my first shot.

Chris, thanks for bringing this up. I forgot all about the post on tempos. I think that was posted by T-Bone and came from the old forum that existed before this one (and long before I knew about BYCU). That makes T-Bone the grand-daddy of this forum. I'll have to check out some of those old posts. I'll probably be embarrassed to read some of mine.
