Well, the video sure has some problems. First off, I lost the video part for the lead guitar - so all you get to see is the rhythm part (was going to have a split screen). The rhythm part is basically the basic spread rhythm from BRYCU - with a few syncopations, slides, and walk ups added. The lead part leaves something to be desired, too, but hey, I promised a video and I'm going to deliver. I'll try to get this mess cleaned up sometime, but at least you can see (and hear) the new Ibanez in action. Both parts were recorded on the Ibanez, direct into Logic, with effects (amp simulation and compression) added there.

Hey I remember that guy, didn't he used to post here back in the '70s or something? Nice playing Bruce, and beautiful guitar! I haven't played on an ebony fretboard in ages, do they still feel like magic under your fingertips? I used to love them. Nice job and looking forward to seeing your videos again on a regular basis

That was really cool, Bruce! And good to see you back in the saddle...
That was a terrific sound on lead, just perfect for that kind of tune. What setup did you use for it?

Good to see you back into video production. Guitar is sounding good and your playing is nice and laid back.

I am in agreement with everyone nice job, I like the black background what did you use for the black out, makes the video look more proffesional.

Yeah, Jack, it plays like a dream all right. I think it might have been back in the 60's...
Joachim, the lead was the bridge neck pick-up, with the tri-sound switch in the mid position (supposed to emulate a single coil pick-up). I was using the "Large Tweed Combo"model in Logic, with a 4X10 cab, miked with the "Dynamic 57" microphone. Amp was set with gain 4.5, bass 7, midrange 2, treble 6, effects & tremolo off, presence 8;5, and master volume 9.5. This was then run thru the EQ in Logic, with the "Low focus guitar" preset, and thru the default compressor.
The rhythm guitar was thru the "Silverface combo" with a 2X12 cab, miked with the "Dynamic 57" mic. Amp settings were: gain 2, bass 5, mid 2, treble 8, effects and reverb off, presence 5, master volume 8. This was run thru EQ ("Picked electric" preset) and the default compressor. One of the inherent problems with all this modeling stuff is that there's just WAY too many setting options.
Phil, thanks for listening and commenting.
Rich, the black background is a large cheap tablecloth I bought for something like $12 thru Amazon.com. This is recorded in front of the same shelves seen in my first attempt at making a video (Old Time Blues), now they're just covered up with my tablecloth! I think there's a thread somewhere on this board where everyone kind of shared how they were making videos. Anyway, feel free to ask, and thanks for listening.
It feels kind of good to put something out, even if it's not something I'm very proud of. At least I've left myself plenty of room for improvement.
