Felt bad that I hadn't recorded anything for a while, so this afternoon I kicked everyone out of the front room and recorded... It's something I've had on the back-burner for a little while. It's a slow blues in the style of Clapton played with my BOSS BD-2 and a new reverb pedal through the clean channel of my Fender Champion 40 and recorded via a direct cable from the headphone jack to the PC line-in. WPB,
You're really getting down some good Clapton-like sounds - not only in terms of tone, but also some of the phrasing and timing on that. Nicely done! I enjoy hearing everyone's "back-burner" projects - even if it's not from the BYCU series.

Sounding really cool WPB! Is that something you learned out of a book or made up yourself? Anyhow nice playing and very cool sound.

Thoroughly enjoyed that mate, great feel, thanks for sharing. From a recording point of view, in my headphones it sounded like the guitar needed bringing forward somewhat so that you could hear that great tone even better.

WPB, that was great! Great playing and tone. Definitely very Claptonesque. That was quite impressive. Did you work it out over a period of time? I been listening to a lot of his stuff over the past year, and he plays quite a few 8-Bar blues - more than anyone else I've listened to. And to think that only a year ago I didn't know the difference between an 8-Bar and the local bar down the street. Now I can spot one after only the....ah....well....the 1st 8 bars.

...Is that something you learned out of a book or made up yourself? Oh, how I wish I could say I made it up... sadly I'm not that good. It's from a guitar magazine. The next choruses go into 9-notes-per-beat speed - it's gonna be a long, slow haul but thought I'd share where I was with it. Glad you all enjoyed it. Listening back to it I'm really pleased with my playing and feel I'm starting to hear improvement in the smoothness of my playing.
