I made a recording of BRYCU lesson 18 "Rockin' Boogie in A": soundcloud.com/joachim-dahl-1/brycu-lesson-18The recording is a little muddy because the strumming and tempo is quite fast, so there are some muffled strums in there... It's recorded using my Ibanez As93 using the neck pickup - I think - I have to check Jack's diagram.

Nice job on that one, Joachim. Yeah, that's the fastest tempo lesson in BRYCU. Goes along nicely with your next BYCU lesson, "Rockin' and Rollin'", I believe. It's hard to get all those notes cleanly, but playing rhythm, as long as it's in time, nobody will notice.
Do you still use Guitar Pro software? if so, I'll send you my files for the last few songs in BYCU.

thanks Bruce, it'd be great with GP6 files - I still use it occasionally, although I found out the advice given many times on the forum, namely slowing the BUCY study way down in Reaper seems like the fastest way for me to learn a new song.

Sounding good Joachim, if there were some muffled strums in there, I sure didn't notice them Timing sounds really good and the guitar sound fits in with the song perfectly. Only little nitpick is that you could bring your guitar up just a little bit more in the mix, but that's just a matter of personal preference. Man some of those later studies in the Rhythm book sound fun, I'm still putzing around with D minor Blues lol.

The last studies are terrific - the next lesson #19 must be the coolest tune I've worked so far amongst all books and play alongs CDs etc...

Oh yeah, I remember when I first bought that book and listened to the CD - that song really stood out for me too.

Sounds good, Joachim. I have to agree with Jack - I'd like to hear you a little louder. Your timing sounds spot on and although you might be aware of some missed or muffled notes I sure didn't notice any. So, if a bunch of nit-picky guys like us can't hear anything wrong, you must be doing something right.

Add a 3 rd one to would have liked you to be a bit louder in the mix, otherwise sounded good I couldn't tell you missed any notes either. I think sometimes when we keep practicing a song we know what is suppose to be there we notice minor problems a typical listener my not. I have started trying to work in my Brycu now into my routin thanks to you.
