I got a recording down of "Jump Blues in Ab" in BRYCU: soundcloud.com/joachim-dahl-1/brycu-lesson-17Recorded with my Ibanez on the bridge PU, tones rolled down somewhat and with a clean amp model in Amplitube 3. 4 studies left in BRYCU and the all look like lots of fun - I am really looking forward to the lesson Bruce recorded a few weeks back.

Sounds great Joachim - I listened to John's version and I can barely tell a difference other than the guitar sound. Really nice job!

Wow - thanks, Jack. That's some compliment! Thruth be told, it's one the easier songs in BRUCY, but still a very cool tune, nevertheless.

Nice playing, Joachim. Very smooth and in the groove. I think the Jazz guys would call that "being in the pocket."
Could you tell which Amplitube models you like the best? I like the tones you've been getting and there are so many options with Amplitube that I don't know where to start. If you could, I'd like the complete path to the models you've been using. I'm aware that they won't sound the same with my guitar, but I'd like to check them out and see for myself.

You know, one of the most difficult things for most people learning music is to get comfortable with playing the "off" beat or syncopation, you just made it sound so easy. When I first came across this about 40 years ago I remember very well it was a lot like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time......impossible!!!!

Nice job, Joachim. That's one of my favorites from BRYCU, and one I intended to record. After that performance, I'll have to lay low for a while. I think Rich is right - it's super powers from the new guitar!!!

Thanks for the warm feedback everyone! As I mentioned to Jack, this song is probably a little easier than many of the other studies.
Phil, I just use standard Amplitube models, no tinkering. I will check the exact names of the 3 models I normally switch between tonight and update this reply.

Phil,
In Amplitube I use "Amplitube 3->Amps->American Tube Clean 1->Bluesy Combo" when I want a crunchy sound with mild distortion. For a clean sound I use "Amplitube 3->Amps->American Tube Vintage->Clean Tube Combo". I didn't try all models and many are similar, but those two I like.
I don't change anything else.
