Guess this isn't too bad. Sounds like I've got a bit much chorus on the guitar, but oh well, it sounded good at the time At any rate, it's time to move on to the next song.

jack1982 - sounds awesome. I didn't think the chorus was too much

Sounded pretty darn good to me as well, I though you guitar could be a tad bit louder though although I was listening with my iPad speakers. Second on you always make it look easy.

Thanks so much guys! I've actually been working on this (on and off) since the beginning of December Mick. Rich, yeah it really depends on which sound system I listen to it on as far as what sounds best in the mix. It's usually done either on my speakers I've got hooked up to my computer or else my headphones, but if I take it downstairs and play it through my stereo system I've got to re-do the whole thing to get it to sound right on that lol.

Sounds great, Jack. I just mentioned in another post that I haven't open BRYCU since starting MBYCU. I barely I have time for MBCYU. You'll be going pro and the rest of us will still be struggling with these books.

Thanks Phil! You should get out that Rhythm book once in a while, it make a great change of pace form all those demanding solos in More BYCU. Just kick back and settle into that groove

Very nicely played, Jack. That's another personal favorite from BRYCU. You hear that kind of rhythm guitar style very frequently in the blues - so, it's a good one to have under your fingers. Did you record that "dry" and add the chorus, or did you record it with the effect? If you have a dry recording, it'd be cool to hear a "clean" sound on it for a comparison.

Thanks Bruce, I'm afraid I didn't record a dry track for that one, just the one with the chorus. I thought it added a nice warmth and thickness to the sound, I'm just not sure it's entirely appropriate for this sort of song.
I love these type of chord progressions as well; instead of just sitting and strumming a chord there a lot of movement to it. One of these days (or years) I'll have to try using that technique to write something of my own.

One of these days (or years) I'll have to try using that technique to write something of my own. When I was a kid playing in a garage band I thought playing rhythm meant flailing away on full 6 string chords. I wish I knew then what I know now. I have no doubt that youth is wasted on the young.
