Well, I finall got my new amp in the mail (thanks Phil) and have had it long enough to run it through the paces. So far far I love the amp just what I wanted great sounding light tube amp. Tone is a little boxy but for a small practice amp I think it sounds very nice tone is warm, it takes my pedals nice also. the reverb is pretty good maybe a bit chimy. it does get loud fast I am running master vol at 3 and pre vol 7ish and rolling off the guitar volume decent clean tone, however doesn't fee like it has much head room before it starts to break up, no problem for me as I am using it at low level. my best tone so far is using only a compressor. Attached is photo of current set up. pedals right to left boss compression, Digitec metal distortion, Ibanes tube screamer, keeley blues driver. Attachments:

Looks good, Rich. When do we get to hear how it sounds?
What does "NOS" stand for?

Cool little amp there Rich! Glad you're happy with it. We need some demo recordings!

I beleive the NOS means New Old Stock, normally associated with factory original new parts never used before like old factory spares.
You guys will here it soon, I am trying to get more minor blues down, I could record a short sound clip for you to here, I don't have an external mic yet though could try my iPad and garage band to record something and see how it sounds.
I am heading to the movies today to see the hobbit so probably won't have time.
I really didn't comment on the negative aspects. So let me point few negatives.
1. Only one channel, same amp with a second channel for cleans would be awsome. 2. No effects loop, would nice. 3. No dirct record out like the peavey, but mic'd got it will be easy 4. No secondary cab output although you can switch to an external cab instead of using the internal speaker.
However, the lightweight grab and go simplicity and great tone was what I wanted and out weighs those negative aspects.

You know nobody actually makes the perfect amp, that's why we all need several of them! Bruce

Bruce I beleive you I now have 3, but I think per $ spent the jr is a excellent grab and go amp. I have noticed in several utube videos that there are a lot of professional musicians using it as a studio amp.

Couldn't help noticing the Blues driver pedal in your photo. How do you like it? What exactly does the keeley mod do to it. Just curious as i was playing around with this pedal at the guitar shop the other day and almost bought it.
By the way those are really nice amps, congrats & enjoy!

The keeley mod adds a switch in that gives the pedal a bit more boost, very subtle but noticeable. The keeley website has a good video that compares the pedal before and after. I am thinking about sending my tubescreamer in for the keeley mod also.
Depending on how you set it you can use it as a clean boost or some nice crunch. My favorite tone I have is ES335 slight compression blues driver on into the jr master vol at 3 and pre vol at 5 ish. The blues driver over drive set to about 1 o'clock.
I can't crank the amp to really get the sound out so the tube drive helps me get the dirt at a low vol. I use the delay more like a reverb, nice delay pedal but not sure if I did it over I wouldn't get the carbon copy instead which is analog.
I need to add a tuner in the chain and a volume pedal for sure. In the long run a Leslie sim and chorus pedal would be nice also.
Anyway for what I do this is a great setup small but can but used at jam session or mic'd up in a group if I ever get there.

Cool Thanks for the response. I'm sure that pedal will find its way onto my board sooner or later.
By the way that's a nice Git you got there really like the colour. I had a ES-339 for awhile but i just didn't get along with it. It was too mid-rangy for me.

Thanks just received it last week, love the tone and feel. It has a modified cap in the neck, limited edition Memphis. It is big though, but I fit into it nicely.
