Let's see your guitars! Lets's see your amps! Lets see any other stuff you've got laying around that you can take a picture of! Here's my guitars: Ibanez RGT42BP with Seymour Duncan '59 pickups and a Tremolno installed to lock the tremolo in place; Fender Blacktop Precision Bass, and a Fender American Strat (now with full shielding lol). My new Fender Rumble 100 watt bass amp: Notice the Master Volume - if I turn it up any higher than that, the whole room starts to rattle. Not just little buzzes, it sounds like the plaster is about ready to start breaking loose from the walls

Richard Gere's first post on the BYCU forum: I'm not quite so embarrassed now, he has a few more than me

mj, very cool setup - when are we going to hear it in action? I'd love to hear either of those guitars for a BYCU tune - I'm not particularly familiar with either of them...

Nursedad, those are some nice guitars - which is your favourite? I had an Epiphone Les Paul exactly like yours, but I sold it a couple a weeks ago, when I bought my Ibanez AS93. Now I have a second hand mexican Fender Classic Player 60s strat and the Ibanez. I still like the Fender, but I actually haven't played it a single time after I bought the Ibanez.

Really cool stuff Nursedad and MJ!
MJ I was just browsing through Musician's Friend yesterday and noticed one of those 3 pickup Tele's. How do you like it?

I think my favorite is the Strat an American Special I got still in the box for about 150.00 below retail. The Epi is a 1960 Tribute comes stock with Gibson pups/electronics.

Its a very nice guitar, its a G&L ASAT Classic "S", bit on the heavy side but it has great sustain. The fit and finish is on par with Fender custom shop stuff. I really like the MDF pickups as they sound fatter and hotter, similar to Texas Specials, than your regular tele pickup. It has been sitting a awhile because I mostly play the PRS.

Gear i got...talent i don't.. It may be a while before I get the balls to actually post something. I've been mostly a gear head for a number of years and never really learned how to play, so I sold most of my excess equipment, except what you see in the picture, and have decided to put in the work and learn how to practice properly. It been a tough slog getting back into it but i started BYCU at one point over 3 years ago and just kinda left it hanging and never got any where with it. In December picked it back up again from the start and have been working my way through it. I'm working on Lazy Day Blues right now. I just found out about the backing tracks you can order from this site as well.

MJ you stole my line got more equipment than talent, but I guess that's half the fun. Don't be shy about posting we like to check everyone's work and you can get some excellent tips on what you need to focus on. Myself I practice at least an hour a day normally, no less than 15 minutes, as a minimum I run some scales. Anyway some of my first post I thought were pretty good now sounds well pretty darn bad but I can see how I have progressed which is the idea.
