Nice job, defininitely ready to move on. Your Epi LP sounds an awful lot like my LP studio which I recorded Minor Blues with also, its a LP sort of tune I think .

Sounds good, Joachim. Nice guitar tone on that one, too. I agree that spending more time trying to polish this one is a "diminishing returns" situation. I think your time would be better spent moving onward.

Tbone, I agree - revisiting the studies is important.
It's also an interesting point you raise about why we share the recordings. I do it mainly to be part of the community here, but occasionally it can be helpful to get feedback on work-in-progress. And I enjoy listening to other people putting efforts into the same hobby. I also use recording as a self-inflicted test; if I am working towards recording a lesson, then I will probably stick with it longer and hopefully learn more.
But I see the recordings on this forum mostly as something that connects us together through our hobby.

Really nice job on that Joachim! The timing is great and your bends sure sound a ton better than mine did on that song Agree with Tbone too, oh man am I ever a prime offender when it comes to going straight to the songs and skipping over the lesson itself. Here I am buying all these other books and not using the best source of information I've got lol. I will endeavor to rectify this situation.

I wouldn't have to post any videos on the forum if you guys would just come over to my house and we'll jam. I'll buy the beer... Bruce

Damn nice, Joachim. This one is hard because it's so slow that those bends have to be spot on or it just doesn't sound right. Move on. Come back to this in a month or so and you will see improvement.
Everyone needs to keep in mind that Joachim has been playing guitar for less than a year (correct me if I'm wrong). Good god, I wish I had been able to make the progress he's made in that short a time.

I have one year anniversary around now - I bought a guitar for my son around christmas time last year, and quickly found out that I wanted one for myself. A wonderful, but expensive hobby! I don't like to think about how much guitar-stuff I've bought during that year...

You have to learn how to suppress the GAS. (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). Why? I'm saving up for an acoustic guitar so I'm on Mick's side in this one

Joachim, I thought that was excellent, TBone made a good point I haven't reviewed all the studies but I find myself playing several over and over again. This week I have gotten into using the texas lesson just to kind of self improv. I do accomplish the lessons and try to get the info down but I am guilty of starting on the music piece and then getting so focused I tend to lapse. Also agree with Mick part of the hobby enjoyment is the equipment. I have a long list of wants myself, 2 on top the list now are a semi-hollow and a good low powered tube amp. The amp is out of necessity I have a 100 watt solid state and a 50 watt vintage silver face on level 3 they both blow you outta the basement.
Any good job.
