I made a recording of "Ninth Chord Blues": soundcloud.com/joachim-dahl-1/bycu-ninth-chord-bluesBefore you start nitpicking, I need some slack on the bend in the song - it's a pinky bend on a brand new set of .11s Hope to share a BRYCU #11 recording soon... Joachim

Wow loved the tone not sure I caught the bend though, only thing I really noted was a slight note you missed. However I thou it was well played and I can't do a piggy bend with 10s much less 11s.

Very nice, Joachim. There are a few places that need cleaning up, but overall I think you played it quite well. I know for a fact that that tune is much more difficult to play than it sounds. At least it was for me. BTW that's a nice jazzy tone you got there.

Sounding good, Joachim. Great tone on that recording. And a pinky bend to boot! Good job! Now on to the next lesson!

Very nice job on that Joachim! Love the guitar sound it's just perfect for the song. Only thing I'd mention is that although the timing is good, it could be a little more "in the groove", which is something I always need to work more on myself too Really enjoyed it, that's a beautiful song and you definitely did it justice.

thanks for the feedback everyone.
Yes, that song is actually more difficult than it sounds. The hardest part for me is keeping the chords high up on the board (near the bridge) firmly fretted.
Jack, you're also right about the groove - that's probably the full tempo being a bit fast for me.
But it's nice to be working on new songs again.

Don't tell anybody else. When I played this tune I didn't use the chords as written on those high on the fret board. I played partial chords because of a problem I have with arthritis in my thumb. Nobody noticed. Not even John G. who also commented. I've done this on other studies also, like "More Minor Blues." Remember, don't tell anybody. Let's keep this just between you and me.

joachim nice job! I really struggled with this one! thanks wpb, I also found it difficult. In fact all the songs in BYCU have had some difficult parts for me... But it feels great to go back to the old studies and be able to play it easily.
