Ok, so I went through an old folder on my PC and found a recording of me doing "Bending The Blues" way back in May 2013 - I've had the book a LONG time it seems, and only now am I taking it seriously! The recording is somewhat unfair as I didn't have the official backing tracks then, so you might hear @johng's guitar faintly in the background. Anyhow, I uploaded it and would truly value your opinion on my recording back then and my more recent attempt... WPB, you can rest assured that you have really improved your playing since May 2013. Yeah, your bends are better, but it's much more than that. Everything is better. That's the value of recording yourself. There is no better way to see your progress. Your will get better whether you record or not, but isn't it nice to have something concrete to listen to and compare?

I second what Phil said - a big improvement plus got rid of that aggravating "double guitar" effect of recording along with the CD from the book!

The main thing I notice is that on the 2013 recording, the phrases are kind of short and choppy while on the 2014 version it's much more laid back and expressive - fits the mood of the song much better. Kind of the difference between playing it vs. playing it well There's definitely a noticeable improvement there.
