Phil, I just wanted to verify that you are using Reaper with the LaPou plugin for your recording? also where did you find the AC30 vst? I like your tone on your recordings and want to try to get something similar.

I like your tone on your recordings and want to try to get something similar. There is a certain irony in that we both work on the same tiny AF base, but have to communicate via the Internet. I use Reaper, but haven't played around with the LePou yet because I'm pretty happy with the tone I get with the AC Box Combo vst. 3 Native Instrument modeling packages came with my Behringer Guitar Link. The AC Box Combo is the only one that came with a full license, so that's the one I learned to use.

Ah ok, yeh I am on vacation this week for the feria. I want to start practicing through the amp but my son starts practicing drums when I start so it's not effective. Long way to say I am still trying to get a good model going in garageband.

Long way to say I am still trying to get a good model going in garageband. Man, you just had a vacation! Check out the LePou stuff. It's free and a lot of people rave about it. It's just a little more complicated, but you're an IT guy so I don't think you'll have a problem. I wouldn't pay for anything until checking out the free stuff. I have stripped down versions of Amplitude and Amplitude Fender that came with my amp, but I've never gotten a sound that I like with them. If I didn't have the Native Instrument software I'd be seriously looking at, and playing around with, the LePou software. I may start fiddling around with it now that you've reminded me.

Yeh I downloaded the LePou today both the AU and the vst I need some instructions for mac installation. I messed with it for a bit but wanted to actually practice for awhile.
I think there is away to import vst files into garage band but my version is different than the instructions.

Well I am trying out amplitude3 suppose to work with garageband but I haven't quite got it working right in garageband. The software is free and comes with some base amps and stuff you can buy more if you like. Sounds good in the stand alone app, hopefully get it working correctly.
