If anyone is interested, I have an Alvarez MPA70 Parlor Guitar for sale. Its has a solid AA spruce top with solid rosewood backs and sides.
The guitar is in new condition with only a couple of very small dings on the back that is hard to see. Great guitar for fingerstyle blues, surprisingly loud for a small guitar with a very balanced tone and detailed bass
If anyone is interested, please contact me with a private message for further details. Sorry, I will only ship to the lower 48

Keith,
If I was living in the USA I'd send you a message. I tried an Alvarez Parlor guitar at the Guitar Center in Austin, TX a couple of months ago on a visit to the States. I loved it. Great sound without the booming bass of the large bodied acoustics. Also, it was very comfortable for a small guy like me.
You shouldn't have any problem finding a buyer. These parlor guitars are becoming quite popular again.
Phil

Nice guitar Andy on Active melody.com bought one several months ahí and has some free online lessons playing it for those interested in hearing one. One thing to keep in mind about the lessons on activemelody.com that are performed on Alvarez parlor guitar - the guitars that Brian is using in his videos are from the Artist Series. I own an Artist series Grand Auditorium and its a good guitar, well built and sound good
The Parlor Guitar that I have for sale is from the Masterworks series, which is just below the Alvarez Yairi line. Nothing bad about Brian's at all, I'm on that forum and talk to Brian at times via email but the guitar that I have for sale has solid sides and back whereas the Artist Series guitars are built with laminate sides and back
I'd like to keep this one buy I've got my eye on a Yamaha AC3R or a Martin GPCPA4 Shaded. A little later, I'm planning to get into some Celtic / Irish music and one of these 2 will be better suited for that genre

Thanks for the clarification. I have an Alvarez dreadnought great guitars for the price. Tone wise shouldn't it be close to the Artist series or is there a big difference in the tone? I am on a search for a semi es335 type guitar. Good luck with finding a buyer.

Thanks for the clarification. I have an Alvarez dreadnought great guitars for the price. Tone wise shouldn't it be close to the Artist series or is there a big difference in the tone? I am on a search for a semi es335 type guitar. Good luck with finding a buyer. Interestingly, there is as much difference in an all solid wood guitar with one with laminated sides as there is between one with a laminated top and one with a solid spruce top. I have been playing different acoustics lately and noting the difference in tone between various tone woods. I've been surprised at what I've found
Breedlove makes some great guitars but their Passport series was disappointment to me. If you play a Passport series and then one from a next higher series that has solid back and sides, the tone difference and projection is immediately noticeable.
I really like my Artist series grand auditorium but if I played it side by side with the Masterworks model, there would be a difference. The question is, do you want to pay the price to get an all solid wood guitar.
As far as a 335 type of guitar, try a
The difference in the 2 Washburn models are that the HB35 has a maple top like a Gibson and the HB36 has a spruce top like some jazz boxes. I have one of the Peavey's and for $350, you won't find a better 335 copy. Workmanship is immaculate. The Washburn is a bit more expensive but its well built as well and gets great reviews.

Funny you mention the Washburn I was just checking those out last night the price point is very good. I tested an Ibanez AS153 I think it was I liked the feel but didn't amp it at the store. I will have to see if the store has one I can play.

I gotta be honest - I'm not usually one for those style of guitars, but that HB36 looks gorgeous... just don't let my Strat hear me saying that, she'll make my playing a nightmare for weeks to come...
