Those both sound terrific Joachim, you're totally in the groove! Very good job. That "beginners charm" sounds more like an intermediate charm

Very nice, Joachim. I like Tbone's advice about playing in different keys, too. That's very easy to do with Band In A Box! If you can play some good rhythm, other people will like to play with you.

Wow you give me hope, that sounded great. I noticed you used the bassman as your amp choice on lesson 3, I inherited a 69 silverface bassman the sound is awesome.

thanks everyone.
cunningr, that sounds like a really nice amp! Lesson 3 was recorded using the USB interface on a Fender Super Champ x2 set to emulate a Bassman, and lesson 4 was recorded using a Focusrite interface with modeling done by Amplitube.

Joachim,
Terrific! You blend right with these. I especially liked #4. It's a little different and more interesting than the standard 'spread' rhythm. I know the 'spread' is absolutely necessary and something you can always fall back on, but the other rhythms in BRYCU will really make you stand out as a rhythm player.

Joachim how do you like that epiphone riviera? I tested a 335 epi today, but didn't really like the feel, then I tested a ibanez semi not sure of the model. Still kinda want to try a gibson es335. Anyway I am shopping for a semi or hollow body and would love to here your opinion on the Riviera.
Bassman is nice was my dads, only thing is the cab is really big, so I have it hooked up to my carvin speaker.
Anyway keeping posting the clips helps provide inspiration.

cunningr, I really like it. It's easy to play on, and the neck feels just right for me, and it has a nice warm full sound. My Epi LP sounds quite dull in comparison. The price was important to me as well - this model seems to be priced very reasonably without feeling like a cheap guitar.

You hit the point playing the 335 copy the guitar felt cheap, the ibanez felt better but it seemed like it was losing its tune as I moved up the neck, maybe the intonation was out, otherwise it felt ok. Thanks for the info I might try one out. I really want a 335 gibson, but $3k is scary.

cunningr, I wanted a guitar with P90 pickups, since I already had one with humbuckers, so that limited the guitars I could choose between. It was a close draw between the Riviera and the Casino: www.epiphone.com/Products/Archtop/Casino.aspxI think they are very similar guitars. After looking around I spotted a sale with around $100 discount on the Riviera, so I bought that one. Mine doesn't have problems with tuning or intonation - it seems like good quality craftsmanship. I also love the look of it; the winered finish is stunning, but that's a matter of taste.
