Well, I got BYCU Rockin And Rollin done this week! It was a fast paced one, but think I managed to do an OK job on maintaining the speed! (see separate post for that one)
Working through BRYCU Ninth Chord Rhythm In A, which is proving a pain memorising. The half-step chord moves just aren't sticking in my brain, but the overall pace is fine. I can play to speed while reading the chords in front of me.
Mel Bay's "Modern Guitar Method Grade 1" music reading is progressing slowly, but it wasn't my intention to be super fast. I'm currently playing stuff in the key of C in open position, but excluding the low-E string. That string is next to be worked on. My speed is slow, but at least I'm generally reading what I see.
BYCU Delta Child starting this week!
As I come to the end of my REDUX, I'm wondering what I should move on to - I'm leaning toward Rhythm & Blues You Can Use.

Hey guys been trying to make a post past couple weeks. Wife gave me a surprise Birthday party for big 60. She surprised me with a Blackstar travel guitar, scaled down electric plays nice, and has a coil split.
On the playing side just working on the stuff for our March 23 concert.

Same old same old for me - I've pretty much got the guitar part to "Going to California" memorized, and I can play it "okay" up to just a bit short of full tempo. Kinda sloppy after that. Once more I have neglected the mandolin...this week will be different! Ah well just keep at it and it'll come together eventually Hope you guys all have a good week.

I've been working on some more Sabbath stuff this week, mainly riff and solo parts to Iron Man, lots more work to do yet. Paranoid doesn't sound very good yet, up to speed, including solo, but quite sloppy. Now I'm back playing again it might be beneficial to re-familiarize myself with reaper this week.
