Well, a good week. Managed to get a BRYCU track worked through and recorded (see related post) but it was a shocker to jump back into BYCU at "Rocking and Rollin" - talk about needing to get up-to-speed on this one This week, it's more BRYCU and Rockin and Rollin which I hope to record next weekend if I can handle the speed. I've also spent some time buying new pedals - so I can be a better player I have the TC Electronics Skysurfer reverb and like the spring reverb on it. I've also ordered a new TS clone that should arrive in a couple of days. Hop you've all had a good practising week! On with the grind...

Had a busy week and didn't get as much practice time as I would have liked. Still working on "Going to California." I have a hard time memorizing finger-picked stuff because of course there's twice as much to remember - I thought I might record the song as I played along with the tab scrolling on my screen, but now I think that's impractical and I'll just have to hunker down and memorize it. Oh well, that's maybe half done already, so it shouldn't be all that horrible Being short on time the mandolin part hasn't been getting practiced very much, but hopefully I'll get back at it this week. Hope you all are doing well!

I am still working on Jody Fisher's jazz method books. Right now the topic is hitting target notes over ii-V-I progressions (also covered in John's books), and some tricky chord-melody intro arrangements. Then I bought a Nux Mighty Space amp, and I am blown away by what a wonderful practice tool it is. It runs on rechargeable batteries, includes a looper and a wireless guitar adapter, it has a drum machine and bluetooth connection for playing backing tracks from the phone directly over the amp.

Hi guys, this last week I have reviewed BRYCU Lessons 6 and 7, and BYCU lessons 6,7 and 8. I have started Chapter 3 of Stetina's Lead guitar, this is new material for me so hopefully I can tentatively move forward again. I can play the second lesson solo "to the stage" from memory but its still very sloppy at full tempo. That's about it for me this week, so hopefully I will do more of the same over this week. I have purchased a tab book for Black Sabbaths first album to dip into. Not quite ready for a new guitar or amp yet
