I had an okay week, I finally memorized the rhythm part for "Hungry" by White Lion. I always lose track of if I'm on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd verses so I'm constantly forgetting which fills go where. Sigh...if I only had a brain I did a bit of recording and found I was rushing my was through the thing, so now I'm concentrating on not doing that. Should have something presentable in a week or so. Turns out I didn't have to get a new car, the old one just needed a new transmission. Only $4,500 for a remanufactured one from GM. The guy said he could get me a used one, from a car with 110,000 miles for $4,200. I told him I could get an entire car with 110K miles for $4,200. Thinking of buying a horse and buggy. Hope you guys had a good week

Another really marginal guitar week for me. We've had houseguests most of the week, which always makes it difficult to sneak in guitar practice time, as you feel like you ought to keep your guests entertained. Jack, I'm feeling your automotive pain. I recently had my alternator go out, and if that's not expensive enough, they can always find more things wrong on an 18 year old car when you bring it in! Then after paying about as much to repair my car as the car is probably worth, my wife's headlights went out. Gone are the days when you could just pop a new bulb into the headlamp - now it's an entire computerized headlamp module assembly, and they have to pull the front of the car off to get to them... Let me tell you, they can find quite a few other problems on a 9 year old car, too!

I had a decent week but missed a couple days. Still easing into my old rhythm/habits. Spent some time on some things that have been in the hopper for years. I've gotten slightly better at them but man is it slow.
