Good morning, all! I got a little more into the swing of playing guitar again this past week, as I've maintained almost complete physical inactivity in an attempt to alleviate plantar fasciitis. The pain in my heel is some better, at least. The guitar playing is a bit rusty, though. I think I'll try to record something short and simple this week, just to see if I can do it. I'm kind of anxious to "test drive" my new setup, so we'll see how it goes.

Looking forward to a recording, Bruce! I can't remember last time I recorded something.
I've working on the early parts of Jody Fisher's Jazz Guitar method book - drilling major scales and lots of chord. Getting to the parts where improv practice starts soon.

I only picked up the guitar once this week. The "golfer's elbow" has almost disappeared. My son is bugging me to get together with him a few times a week so I need to get back in the saddle this week. I'm still working out regularly. My biggest mistake was thinking I could just jump into doing things I could easily do 10 years ago. I've reignited a chronic shoulder problem and should probably see a physical therapist. Other than that things are going well. Bruce - Looking forward to a recording from you. Maybe you'll shame me into doing one. Joachim - Would love to hear some Jazz stuff from you in the near future.

I'm also looking forward to hearing your stuff Bruce! And good luck with the heel, and Phil good luck with the shoulder. Hope you're both feeling better soon I didn't get a whole lot of playing done last week, I was busy getting "Lay it Down" recorded. You'd think that would involve a lot of playing, but I spend two-thirds of my time just working in the DAW. I think the song is more-or-less done but I'll have to give it another listen tomorrow morning to make sure I'm still happy with it. Then I'll post it. I'm deciding what to start on next; maybe "Headed for a Heartbreak" by Winger. It's got a really cool outro solo, nice main solo, cool little interlude bit, and the rhythm parts are classic hair metal all the way
