I just checked out ERG Reocrds' website and found this: www.ergrecords.com/videos/kuvo-mam-kats/ It starts off with some nice jazz. At the 39 min mark there is some extremely cool blues guitar going on. I'll have to check the rest tomorrow. Phil

I was just listening to the blues band and that's some great stuff! I'll have to listen to more when I get some time.

Yeh I just started listening to Joe Bonamassa, never really heard of him before but he can really play. I don't think he is scraping by though since he has a 59 les Paul.
I was listening to a band here about 3 weeks ago from Sevilla that was really good I think they call themselves Bluesey.

I ran across several people I had never heard of before like Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepard, and Gary Clark, Jr.(Of those 3 I really like Gary Clark). They are well known and making a good living plying their trade. I was referring to guys like the owner of this website, John Ganapes, the 2 guys in that video, and many others that you find on the Internet who haven't found fame and fortune, but who are fabulous guitarists. I think the most well known blues band in Spain is the Vargas Blues Band. A couple of months ago they played in El Puerto, but I couldn't talk my wife into going. Phil Note to other forum members: Rich and I work at the same military base in Spain, but live far from each other. We've known each other casually for several years, but only discovered a couple of weeks ago that we both are learning to play blues guitar after being away from it for several years. Please pardon the occasional 2 way conversation. We'll try not to do that too often.

Yeah those folks in the video are great, I watch them playing through all that stuff and just marvel at how many years of dedicated practice and performance it must take to get to that level.
I've only got "Sloe Gin" by Joe Bonamassa and love it. I really should get more of his stuff. His guitar lesson is great too, it's about a million miles over my head but it's fun to watch and there's some interesting information there I can understand at least.
I just listened to a bit of Kenny Wayne Shepard on YouTube and that sounds fantastic, I'll have to check out Gary Clark, Jr. as well.

+1 on Gary Clark, Jr. I got the Bright Lights EP, from there I was hooked.

If you like Gary Clarke Jr you HAVE to watch him on the newest Crossroads Guitar Festival. He does "When my Train Rolls In". One of the most incredible solos ever! I've probably watched 25 times.
