Well I guess this is about as well as I can play it. I've been messing around with the production for about three days now, I suppose it's time I finally post it Let me know what you guys think! I'd like to give a huge, HUGE thank you to John Ganapes for his wonderful books, they're what took me from rather pitiful to being able to (kind of, sort of) play stuff like this. www.dropbox.com/s/jg00s09yjkxj6ey/Little%20Wing.mp4?dl=0

Nicely played, Jack. You've come a long way since BYCU.

Jack, nailed it man!!! A really tasteful rendition. You just keep getting better and better, and now you're a sound engineer too!! Excellent, as T says, you are an inspiration.

Thanks so much guys, glad you liked it! That was actually one of the first songs I "learned" way back when - thank God I didn't have any recording equipment back then lol Guess it must be the midlife crisis kicking in, wanting to go back to my twenties...oh wait I'm too old for midlife anything

I still think the SRV version is the definitive version but that one's not bad Not sure what to add to what's been said. I'm not super familiar with the original Hendrix version, but all the phrasing and legato stuff was really well done, very musical, and pretty spot on with what I remember from the original, though honestly I don't remember the glockenspiel stuff. Guess maybe I should go back and listen some day. Cliffs of Dover next? Great to see a midlifer making strides as substantial as you have been. I can't shuck the notion that I'm topped out due to age. Guess I need to practice harder and smarter. Great job!

That was the bomb, Jack. Fantastic production and mixing on that, as well as stellar playing. Really enjoyed that one! The glockenspiel part really took it over the top! Very nice work.

I still think the SRV version is the definitive version Now don't go blaspheming again Grampa Seriously, thanks so much guys, really appreciate it! Joachim this song has been a lifelong favorite of mine too, those always keep a person motivated when learning them. And Gramps don't let age slow you down - we've still got a few years left, might as well make the most of them

This is beautifully played! Little Wing is one of Jimi's nicest for sure, both examplary in terms of touch with all these seamless runs and licks and the overall beautiful and almost holy kind of gentle sound it has. I liked that you added the glockenspiel and showed yourself playing the various parts, I see what Bruce means about your editing quality. Great work man, very inspiring playing!
