Thanks, Bruce! We're hanging in, but I am starting to look forward to some normalcy.

I haven't been following this lick challenge series very closely. Sorry now that I wasn't paying more attention. You guys have been uploading some pretty impressive sounding stuff.

Not something I'm proud of, but thought I'd upload what I could pull off.
This chapter is going to take some time to work through...

Cool job, Joachim. I've got to try to get something recorded, too!

Borrowing a well-know quip, when I try to work through these licks I sound like I'm falling down the stairs and landing in a heap.
But I'm grinding still. By yesterday I was flirting with 95% full tempo (albeit frequently with the aforementioned chaotic tumble). The last 5% is usually the hardest step for me. Maybe I can try a capture around midweek. I'm having to build strength and stretch as I go with this installment which takes time to build up.
I agree that, for me at least, this section of the book is one I'll have to tackle slowly.

Well, here's my belated go at it - only about 75% speed, but that's where it is, and I can't work on these two licks for the rest of my life!
I'll get a new challenge posted - the next two licks (50 & 51)...

Good to have you back on board, Bruce! And thanks for uploading the next assignment. Thanks, Joachim. Sorry to let that last formal challenge slide - just had lots of life going on (as I'm sure you can relate to). On the plus side, only six more weeks of work left! Unfortunately, I will have to work two weekends during that time. Your recording sounded way better than mine, and was not slowed down so much. Again, nicely done on that.

Very good stuff Grampa! I think working hard on "the most technically difficult 12 bars I've ever tried" is a great technique builder. Keep up the good work

Grampa, I'm with you - I could work on that lick for probably the next six months! I'm loving this chapter, but these are some tough licks, for sure!

Grampa, I'm with you - I could work on that lick for probably the next six months! I'm loving this chapter, but these are some tough licks, for sure! You're not kidding! I did 50 this time so I can drop 51 in its place and bumble through the rest for another 2 weeks!
I also see that you sneaked your entry entry for last week in while I wasn't looking. Good work!

That was cool, Grampa. It's definitely getting more difficult, and I can hear we tripping up at the same places. Great that we're still on board, though!
