T, I need to reset my favorites list. I completely missed these posts. Right now it defaults to the Blues forum and I never see this forum. I'll definitely check out this video today or tomorrow. Burrell is one of my favorites. One of the Bluesiest of the Jazz guys.

T, thanks for posting that. Much to Phil's chagrin, doesn't have anything to do with Kenny Burrell. Nonetheless, a fascinating look at the history of music and society in general for the past 100 years.

I just finished watching it. Really enjoyed it although I'm much chagrined that it doesn't have anything to do with Kenny Burrell.  They also didn't even mention Charlie Christian, who was in Benny Goodman's band. WTF? At least they mentioned Freddy Green. Notice how Freddy is always sitting close to Count Bassie. He spent 50 years with Bassie's band.
Anyway, it was very informative and enjoyable.
