Standard week. Much work on the BLYCU challenge licks. I've spent little time with the style of double-stops prior and both are pretty difficult for me. I waited until this weekend to move on to a new scale sequence so if I work each for 2 weeks I'll be adding one new thing each week (BLYCU challenge changes during the the other week). Those are the set items in my routine. A handful of other items are tossed in a few times per week each, stuff I've mentioned before.

I started playing again on Thursday; my wrist wasn't 100% but I was sick of waiting. Played 1/2 hour Thursday, 2 1/2 hours Friday and 2 hours yesterday, and it seems none the worse for wear. Of course now I have to use the snow blower again this morning I'm just working on Stairway to Heaven, having fun with all the parts from the intro to the solo to the outro.

Hi guys, well, you all probably know that myself, Jack and Tony have been working on a collab together, for this one we all released our inner metalheads!!! So....this is our big reveal . This was so much fun and I think we all learned a lot. A big thanks to jack for managing this project and his extraordinary lead guitar playing.

Great job guys!!!!!!!!! Very impressive playing by all. Jack, I didn't know you could do that kind of stuff. Wow! You'll have to excuse me now. I have to finish turning my guitar into something useful by chopping it into fire wood. I'm thinking about taking up a new instrument - a comb and tissue paper kazoo.

Nothing much to report on here, working BLYCU and R&BYCU. Glad I didn't post anything, what with Joachim's "It's About Time" and the "Fade To Black" collaboration showing up this week. Phil, just think how much less expensive and space-occupying a collection of combs and tissue will be! Big kudos to Mick, Tony, and Jack!

That Metallica cover was AWESOME!!! Well done guys.
Managed to practice the lead part for the track I was working on.. so hot off the press (literally only just uploaded) here's my Truefire piece I've been doing. It's a slow blues - two guitar parts, rhythm and lead. Rhythm is panned 20% left and lead is 20% right to give a spacial feeling which I think works well.
Loved this track. The lead isn't quite exactly what was written (about 90%) but the changes I made fit with how I wanted to play it. I'm happy with the results. Enjoy...

I also like the finger style rhythm part.
Man, you guys are really inspiring me. I need to get busy.

Wow everybody has been busy! Great job all around this week. I am back to internet class again as our town got locked down again. So starting a new TBone walker song Mean Old World, started on a song called Bare Footin Wilson Pickett version, and practicing a Peter Green song for combo.
I also got a COVID vaccine this week.

I started the week strong and then fizzled out. I had some work stuff come up that got in the way, both physically and mentally.
All of me is coming along The chord changes are smoother. I'm still struggling with the last course rhythmically but it's a little out of comfort-zone but it will come along. All Your Love (I Miss Loving) is getting easier. I think I have most of the rhythmic parts down and the intro riff. I need to work on stringing it all together and the the solo. I'm on the fence if I'll try and re-play the Otis Rush solo or try and come up with my own. I also dug out "Blues Rhtyms You can use" mostly becasue I was struggling with some rhythmic stuff with both "All of Me" and "All of Your Love". I'm not sure it is helping but it was a nice distraction.
Nice work on "Fade to Black" i really enjoyed it and really inspiring.
wannaplayblues Thanks for sharing, I love seeing/hearing your projects.
