The first song is an interesting version of Bad Moon Rising, as only Steve could have pulled it off. Very soulful. Steve's solo on this puts me in mind of Soulshine by the Allman Bros.
2nd song is 30 Days In The Hole, which is probably their signature tune

I saw The Faces with Rod Stewart 2-3 time between summer 1970 and summer 1972. '30 days in the Hole' just sounds so much like what The Faces were doing around that time - Marriott's voice is even similar to Rod Stewart's. Maybe that's why The Small Faces got Rod Stewart to join them. GnLGuy, you are causing me to relive my teenage years. I'm not sure if that's healthy. Keep this up much longer and I'll be firing up doobies and dropping window pane. (Good thing my grandchildren don't frequent this forum). Phil

Phil
I have several years of Guitar Player magazine from the late 70s and early 80s and I learned of players that most haven't heard of. While I was single, I would try to buy at least 1 LP each month of the artists that were in those issues and interesting that I remember a lot of them.
A few weeks ago, some were complaining that this forum didn't have much action and I replied that everyone just needed to start posting something. I started with videos and it looks like we have a lot more traffic now than we did before and much of it surrounds music videos that people are posting. Keep it up guys!!
