I had a decent week of practice, 14 hours 40 minutes on guitar and 2 hours 20 minutes on bass. Worked on Drivin' Blues in MBYCU, it's coming along slowly, but it is coming along. A couple of weeks ago if I tried to play it at full tempo it sounded really rushed; now it's getting more relaxed, just riddled with missed notes The rhythm guitar and bass parts could use some polishing up too. Also worked on Motor City Stroll in the R&B book. I think the rhythm might be the hardest part, it's fairly quick and easy to get sloppy with it. The lead is coming along well and I just need to make a video of the bass part. Also did some improvising and worked on Bass Aerobics a tiny bit. Spent some time learning some Christmas songs - it's fun working on fingerpicking stuff and I just love the beauty of that stuff. Truly amazing how much music those composers can get out of a bunch of quarter notes on the first few frets.

I am still working on lesson 4 in RnBUCY. It has proved harder to smoothen out than I thought, but perhaps I can record it in another week or so.
I am also working on technique, BCYCU, and "Melodic phrasing" as usual. I might start on the next easy blues play-along from my play-along book next week. It's "Double Trouble" by Otis Rush, which is pretty cool.

Unfortunately, the past two weeks have been pretty lacking in the guitar department. I had a fair amount of travel (for a wedding, and work), and really just spent a couple evenings playing some previous lessons rather than starting anything new. Hoping to get back into the routine this week and begin focusing on Getting Funky.

My week was off also practiced a good 4 hours and a bit extra here and there, but missed a couple days just too tired to move.
However I finally learned all of chord on bleu both lead and Rythmn, I can play it pretty good a slow speed except the last couple measures of the Rythmn having Trouble nailing it nice and clean. So will be cleaning it all up and start getting it to full speed.
Also been working on a funky Rythmn from the brycu book. Also ordered a set of Gretch Drums for my son, I have him convinced it will never happen. Anyway his birthday is next week he turns 18 and he passed his last GED exam so I think he has earned it.
Bout it for me.

I got in 8 hrs this week. Just can't seem to get to my goal of 10hrs. Most of that was spent coming up with 2 choruses for More Minor Blues and recording it. I did practice "Tremblin' Tremelo" and "8 Bar Boogie" a bit. Regarding "Trem Trem" I have the tremelo double stop chorus down at full tempo. It's the 1st chorus that's slowing me down. It's nothing but the same repeating lick for the whole chorus, but it's a lick that I still haven't mastered cleanly at full tempo (about 125 bpm). Frustrating, to say the least.

Sorry to be late to the weekly report - had a pretty busy weekend. Thought I might find some time to do some recording, but didn't. Still been getting in some playing every day this past week. Chord-On Bleu is ready to record, and I can play the rhythm part for Driving Blues, both from MBYCU.
