The bends in bar 10 are a touch off, but other than that I guess I'm pretty happy with this. Let me know what you guys think

Way to go, Jack!!!!!!!!! I only heard one bend that sounded off. Other than that it sounded just fine. Well, you the 1st in this group of active forum members to complete MBYCU. I don't think too many people have done this or they would have said so on the forum. This is quite an accomplishment and serves as inspiration to the rest of us to stay focused and see this thing through to completion. What are your plans for the future? Of course, I mean after you've re-recorded these 13 studies in various keys.

Wow, Jack, I listen to yours and I listen to the MBYCU CD, and you are spot on, man. I stand in awe - you've completed MBYCU! That's a real accomplishment, and some serious guitar playing. Yeah, now for various keys - and then left handed! Way to go!

Congratulations, Jack!
I tried to find something to counter-nit-pick, but I couldn't... Definitely a big achievement!
My vote for what to do next would be to like Jimi Hendrix play the studies with you teeth, or with the guitar behind your back, or both..

Wow, thanks so much, you guys made my day! Thank you thank you thank you Next, well I just ordered the 2nd edition of BYCU so I'll watch those videos and I'd like to work on really incorporating the concepts in the book into my own playing (adding chord tones to solos, switching back and forth between pentatonic minor and major, figuring out how to use 6ths in a solo, etc.). And maybe make new recordings of some of those songs since my old ones make me ill, maybe adding my own choruses and / or writing some "inspired by" versions of those songs of my own. And maybe working on some new recordings of the More BYCU songs to keep my technique up. And I've got a long ways to go in the R&B and Rhythm books, I should probably delve into the chord book if I want to do some songwriting, and I've barely gotten started on the Jazz book. So that's enough stuff to keep me busy ten hours a day lol Probably have to pick a small handful of those things and concentrate on them. And then there's always learning some blues standards, working on the bass playing, and most importantly - buying more guitars!

That was great, congrats on completing mbycu, now John needs to produce beyond more blues you can use , couldn't imagine how hard that book would be.

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it! Tbone, I think I spent at least as much time practicing the bass part as the lead guitar lol. Those funky ones where the bass is off doing its own thing really take some work, no hiding behind the rhythm guitar. Phil, don't worry I'm sure you've still got a few good years left - I wouldn't dilly dally too much though Just kidding! Joachim, yup, looks like I'll have to go with the T-shirt lol.

That was played through Amplitube 3 amp modelling software.
