I made a recording of the first lesson in R&BYCU: soundcloud.com/joachim-dahl-1/rbycu-easy-rhythmSo far, I really love that book. A cool tune, the material and song clearly laid out, and it fits perfectly with my ambition to learn chord theory (better). The backing track was generated from a R&B style in BiAB - it fits the song pretty well, I think. I almost included a generated piano part, but it started to sound a little crowded...

You're off to a flying start with this one J, well played, nice tones, good recording, what's not to like? Great job .

Thanks, Mick! It's refreshing to play something without flat bends for a change...

Sounding really nice Joachim! Very nice guitar tone and that BIAB backing track fits perfectly. About the only little nitpick I can come up with is the rhythm part could be a tiny bit tighter, maybe the hammer ons and pullofs in that part could be a bit more "crisp" if that makes any sense. But that's just me not being able to comment on anything without finding something to nitpick Really nice job overall.

Sounding good from here, Joachim. I thought your BIAB track fit in well. It doesn't need a piano part at all. Good job!

Well, it seems I'm not the only one who got sidetracked... well played over a fitting BT, Joachim! Will you focus on RnBYCU now or work on it and MBYCU in parallel? T-Bone, I thought I'd put MBYCU on the back-burner for awhile, until I've made more progress into R&BYCU and BCYCU. The studies in MBYCU are certainly great, but I think I need a more solid basis for MBYCU.

That sounded excellent, I have been looking into purchasing the bias software which version do you have? I have the 2014 MegaPak version, and I might have bought a PlusPAK also. I started with the basic version, but you have to buy a bigger packages for most of the cool realtracks.

..... It's refreshing to play something without flat bends for a change... Ain't that the truth. I think that's why I'm getting more and more attracted to Jazz - no bends. Anyway, that sounded very good. Your playing comes across as being very relaxed. I think you're going in the right direction for now. MBYC can wait until you get more comfortable playing. MBCYU can be extremely frustrating if you're not ready. Believe me, I know this from personal experience.
