I guess this is okay, still got a slight pause in the slidey part where I go from the 5th to the 9th fret, but otherwise I guess I can't complain about it too much. Let me know what you guys think

That's wonderfully cool Jack, is that your cat's tail sitting on your music in the bass shot? I really need to teach Charlie some new tricks

That sounded very good, Jack. Maybe the "slidey" part could use a little more work, but it's fine the way it is. There appears to be a lot of jumping around the fretboard on this one. Man, you are almost to the end. I'd better get full-steppin' if I'm ever going to finish this book.

Thanks Phil, yeah I practiced that darned slidey part to death and it still doesn't sound quite right - I think it sounded more natural and in-the-groove about two or three weeks ago before I over-analyzed the timing of it LOL. The next song is very similar to that one in the R&B book that everybody said I sounded tired while playing, so that will probably take me forever to finish - so with a little work you should be able to catch up I think

Man, Jack, that sounds pretty damn good to me. All your hard work is an inspiration to us all. I'm just starting out with MBYCU, and it just might be a multi-year project, just like BYCU was for me. Man, I really stand in awe. Great job!

Thanks so much guys, you're making me blush Bruce, yeah it takes a long time to work through the book but hey, it's all about enjoying the journey, not worrying about when you'll arrive at the destination, right?

Theoretically, you are correct. But, I'm the kid in the back seat who keeps asking, "Dad, are we there yet"?

That was great, Jack! My only objection is that it could use more cow-bells...
EDIT: I found the sketch here:
it still cracks me up...
