Well here it is Delta Child its not perfect, but wanted to get something down for a review. I have to agree with Joachim this song is harder than it looks, especially when you change to the backing tracking. Anyway hope its good enough to move on to the last lesson even though I am still working on Rockin and Rollin. soundcloud.com/alabama-blues/delta-child-v1Feedback always welcomed, Rick Note: Recorded using Garageband via Apogee plug, ES335 into Boss Compression, into Keely blues driver, then Delay pedal. Used Fender 58 Blonde Bassman as amp sim.

Rich, I'm not going to give you a smackdown on this one, because I'm running into than exact same problem with "Tremblin' Tremelo." That bend-release-pull off on the 2nd fret of the G string is an absolute bitch to get sounding good. If I were you, I'd get started on "All Forms" and work that bend-release-pull off by itself for 2-3 minutes every day. Focus on getting a full bend and a strong pull off. Get it nailed before you get to "Tremblin' Tremelo" in MBYCU, which uses the same technique, but twice as fast. BTW, I'm using my middle and index fingers together to do the bend. That gives me some extra strength.

Rich, That sounds awesome. Nice thick tones, and I love the subtle delay. Sounds cool with my headphones. This is one of my favorite tracks from this book, and I'll be thrilled when I get there and finally learn to play it. Right now I'm starting the little brother to this one, Delta Mood.

Thanks guys, that damn bend release on the 2 nd fret, I did some practice on getting it to pitch with the tuner. I also had this technique that worked pretty good then couldn't work out how I did it. I love this piece but it's a tough one.

Sounding good Rich and very nice guitar sound! Just that bend could use a bit of work - my method for hitting the correct pitch on the 2nd fret is just to jam it up as hard as I can, that's usually about right Your timing is really coming along nicely. Is that the Gibson or the Carvin?

Is that the Gibson or the Carvin? That's the Gibson, I use the assisted 2 finger push Only issues is getting the pull off. I like the Gibson tone but I think I hit the bends better on the carvin. I have some bend practice back into the normal routin.

Sounding very cool, Rich. Your tone is killer on that one! Besides the aforementioned bend, there's a few minor timing quirks. Man, you've really come A LONG WAY, Rich. That's definitely good enough to move on, but I'd encourage you to go back and polish that one up some, too.

yes, definitely move on, Rich. I also enjoyed, and I agree it's a difficult song - if you revisit it later on, I am sure it will feel much easier.
Almost finished!
