Nice playing, Mike. Your timing is spot on, it's played with feeling and I like your tone. You are now an official member of the "Inner Circle." Welcome to the club! The 1st recording is always the hardest. Your 1st recording is much better than mine was. I think it took me about 8 hours to do the 1st one. I listen to it now and it sounds like crap. Initially I made the mistake of thinking that the 1st few studies were too easy, and I jumped right into the middle of the book. Fortunately, I saw the error of my ways and went back to the beginning and went through the book in order. Anyway, nice job. Keep those recordings coming. It's beneficial for you and for everybody else on many levels.

Great Start!!! Sounds great, and like Phil said the timing was spot-on. Loved the tone! By recording it you'll one day get to listen back to it and cringe as you realize the progress your playing has taken - and that's a good thing. Without recording it, it's harder to see/hear the slow daily improvement. With regard to the anxiety - that one gets me all the time. On the longer pieces I get through the tough bits and say to myself " Don't screw up now, you've got to get this right, you got through that rough spot... don't panic!!! Don't panic!!!" Which results in more anxiety and stress in my arms and body. When the "red light" goes on, by brain and fingers get out of sync

Really nice job on that Mike, I can't even find anything to nitpick Timing is good and I like your guitar sound as well - it's tough to find a nicely distorted sound that doesn't get muddy with those big chords, and you did it well. Welcome to the recording club and looking forward to hearing lots more of your stuff in the future!

I couldn't believe how much anxiety I got and how many times I had to do it over.
I think we've all shared this feeling. Welcome to the club, indeed! Nicely done. Bruce

You're off to a great flying start with the book Mike. Don't worry too much about recording/performing anxiety, it affects professionals who have been playing for years so what chance have us mere mortals got? just wait until we make you do videos...and make you do guitar faces as well

The recording anxiety never goes away, at least not for me. I think it's human nature to want to do well in front of your friends and peers. But the recording does get easier as you go, your technique will improve as well as your playing and your will to post a perfect recording grows. Best thing is try to relax and have fun with it.
