On the night of my birthday I finally got down a recording of lesson 19 that is good enough to share: soundcloud.com/joachim-dahl-1/bycu-rockin-and-rollinPerhaps being satiated and having a few beers to many is what did the trick... It's not perfect, but I want to move on in BYCU - just two more to go...

Happy Birthday J!! EDIT - Back again to congratulate you on great effort with this study, this one was my "brick wall" and I dropped out for a while before finding my way back here to the forum where I got the support to get back on track, so this one was a great milestone for me (or is that millstone?)

First off, happy birthday, Joachim! Yeah, my playing always sounds better after a few beers, too. Now your rendition of Rockin' and Rollin' sounds pretty darned good to me. That's a tough piece, and you did it justice. Man, you've come a LONG way and should be very proud. If you didn't live so far away, I'd buy you a beer for your birthday. Well, I hope maybe you can get that Hello Kitty guitar you've been wanting... Again, happy birthday and nicely done! Bruce

Nice going, Joachim. Other than a couple of slightly flat bends, it sounded quite good. But since you are so close to finishing the book I won't mention them. I know the feeling you have now with only 2 more studies left. Happy Birthday and get those bends in shape for "All Forms Blues." You're going to need them. It's going to be nice to have another person working on More Blues You Can Use. (If that's what you are planning to do).

Joachim happy birthday, I started on this lesson this week still on the slow memorization stage. Nice job as usual, almost to the end now.

thanks guys! With this song I actually do feel really good finally being able to record it - for weeks and weeks I felt I didn't make any progress on it. Mick, I thought I'd never learn that study, and even slowed down it is really fast. I think it played it at 60%-70% for weeks. Bruce, thanks! No Hello Kitty guitar this year. My wife actually asked if I wanted another guitar for my birthday and for a moment I thought about what guitar I might want, until I realized she was joking... Phil, yes - those bends! And for fast song like this, you don't have much time to think about bending to pitch; I hope that's something we'll learn one day. Rich, you might beat me to the gradutation party if I don't watch out
