A good week. I managed to record the BGIAB track I've been working on which was a *massive* achievement! Been looking at the next Blues Lead Guitar Solos piece, which is a 3 chorus Chicago blues which seems like fun. I'm going for a more overdrive sound than the example, but think it could work well. Will also be going back to some Blues Rhythms You Can Use and Blues You Can Use pieces. Also this week I tried out several overdrive pedals in my collection - weird thing is they all sounded similar to me. I'm wondering if this is an indication that my "sound" truly is in my hands and picking and not the tools I use; that said, perhaps I just set each of my pedals at similar settings 'cos I like the sound Hope you've all had a good week - and here's to the next...

I've been taking a little break after finishing "Going to California," trying to decide what to work on next. Maybe "You're no Good" or "Runnin' with the Devil" by Van Halen. I could attempt "Rise" by Extreme, but I'm not to sure I could ever get it up to speed. Might be fun to try though lol. I dunno, It's a beautiful day today so maybe I'll have to have a few beers tonight, sit on the swing, listen to some tunes and make a decision then Hope everybody's doing good!

Happy Sunday everyone!
I've been chugging along pretty well. Most days I manage to surprise myself in a good way, which is nice. Lots going on in real life these days, which I'm using as an excuse not to get any big guitar projects/commitments underway, lol. It's my hour every evening to just kind of chill.

It's a rainy Cinco de Mayo here, so I've got to go make frozen margaritas for some of the neighbors in about an hour. Yeah, life is tough! I spent a very frustrating day trying to get my music computer (my wife's old laptop) and audio interface functioning again, installing software updates, etc. Turns out that the USB A to C adapter plugging my audio interface into the computer was not working properly. Initially, only had sound out of one speaker, then the computer would not recognize my interface at all. It sounds so simple in retrospect, but of course it takes you hours to figure out why things are not working! Hopefully tomorrow I can try some actual music playing!
