tldr; magic happened in my playing and recording
Imagine, you setup your DAW for the track you intend to record next week, try out some new spring reverb IRs you just bought, things sound good and you think "Hey, let's hit record and see what happens..." and somehow you are immensely blessed and some of your best playing happens and the mix sits wonderfully to your ears...
...and that's exactly what happened today!
I can't explain it, other than it just happened. Perhaps I thought it would be crap so was relaxed enough that my playing was unhindered - make of it what you will - but after recording the rhythm and trialling the lead I changed my top so i'm not wearing the same thing in both shots.
The setup for both guitar was the same *except* rhythm guitar used bridge-middle pickup and lead used neck-middle pickup. This worked really well to help differentiate the guitars on the track. I also PANed 45% left for rhythm and 45% right for lead to also help separate them.
I've listened to this track over and over and am seriously blown away with the end result for my efforts. Hope you all enjoy it...

Man, Wannaplay! You're knocking these out faster than I can listen to them! Another great job on that one. It's great to hear these BYCU tunes again.

Man, great job on that WPB! I had forgotten all about that song. That's a challenging one, especially with the two guitars interacting with each other as they do. Keep up the good work!
