I have a Classic Player Jazzmaster, a Classic Series 72 Thinline Teledaster, a Classic Series 60s Stratocaster, and a couple Stratocasters cobbled together from random parts, one I call Frank (short for Frankenstein) and the other is Blondie (I use a shot of it as my avatar). My amp is a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue, plus a few pedals. I also have an Alvarez folk acoustic guitar.

I've got a mid/late 90s American Standard Strat, I think one of the deluxe models, that I got cheap because it had some minor damage. Repaired, it's perfectly serviceable. I plug a set of headphones into a Line 6 Pod when I want to sound amplified (keeps the neighbors from having to file noise complaints). That's about it for me.

I recently got back into playing electric guitar after a lay-off of 40 years (I won't bore you with the details). I'm a little embarrassed to to tell you what my "rig" is, but here it is - a Chinese Fender Squier and a Fender Mustang I v.2 amp. I have to say that I'm very happy with this "rig". When I was a teenager I had a fender Jazz Master and a Fender Twin Reverb amp that I bought used around 1967. In 1970 I bought a Gibson ES-330 that someone pushed on me. I never really liked the Es-330 because it had a short neck. I wish I still had these 2 guitars and that amp today. I also had a Crybaby wah-wah and a Gibson Fuzz Tone which I had had no idea of how to use effectively. As someone once said - "Youth is wasted on the young." Phil

boy do i feel like the black sheep. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom and and Gretsch 5120. I run though a radall RG75 amp or a johnson j-station though a bass am. I also use a wha, compressor, blues over drive, solist distortion and vintage delay pedals. The wah is more for tone than anything.
I'm looking at selling the Randall amp and getting something different soon i hope. I plan on doing some tweaks to both guitars soon too.

I've been fortunate to sell off some items that I no longer need/use and used the proceeds to fund my GAS problem. (GAS = Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). I've bought most of mine used or as projects & repaired them. So here goes, - Gibson Blueshawk
- G&L Tribute S500
- G&L Tribute ASAT
- Ibanez AGS83
- Peavey JF1
- Sanatoga SAN300
- Washburn HB35 - relic project in process. Partially finished by factory. Needs tuners, bridge, pickups and all electronics
- Alvarez Silver Anniversary Model 2551 - repaired broken headstock. Handcrafted by Yairi luthiers. Best acoustic I've ever owned
- Alvarez Artist Series AG75CE Grand Auditorium - top had cracked and previous owner screwed up finish, removed nut & bridge, electronics. Partially finished
- Alvarez flat top from 1976,
- Washburn WG16 - was damaged somewhere in its journey, needs the whole top replaced.
- Peavey Classic 50/410 - serious blues amp
My wife says that I have too many.... I don't understand her logic......

I have always had some project guitars. My current one is a Gibson Marauder with a spray can paint job and broken head stock. Marc, I spent over 20 years as a electronic repair tech and moving onto work on my passion of guitars is really great for me. I was so tired of staring at circuits that applied to cash register systems and printer controller but learning to work on guitar related is a breath of fresh air for me.
I had forgotten about the Gibson Marauder. It looks like a cool guitar. What pickup config does yours have?
What glue do you use to repair headstock? When I repaired my Alvarez, my son, who loves wood working, suggested a polyurethane glue made by Gorilla. It is advertised to make a repair to be stronger than the original wood before it broke. It foams a little bit so very little is needed - we probably used 1/4 teaspoon to repair the Alvarez and part of that turned out to be foam on the outside that had to be removed once it cured

Everything is original but i wanted to tweak it and make it more like the 'early' version. in sted of a toggle switch like a les paul the early models had a knob a bit like the gibson lucele models. the head stock split right along the grain. I've had this guitar some 10+ years or so and i've had it repaired professionally and by my self and it keeps breaking along the same place. My friend left it at my house when we were jamming and then off and joined the army. I've tried to give it back to him but he won't take it. I thought maybe if I fix it up like a retro monster, how can he say no. then again i may keep it. my plan was to drill 2 or 3 holes along the edge into the headstock and use a dowel to keep the head stock in place. I was going to put some grilla glue along the grain crack and and then some regular wood glue on the dowel. Right now I'm prepping the body for paint. I'll see if i can dig up some pictures later today

btw has anyone see Gary Clark Jr at Crossroads 2013? He plays an epiphone casino and it sounds incredible....just saying That is his signature Epiphone. He is now spokesperson for Epiphone. I have heard people rave about Gary Clark, Jr. I had seen him on a couple talk shows (Leno or Letterman) and maybe a couple concerts on some channel like Palladia. I was not the least bit impressed. Then Santa brought me Crossroads 2013........ Wow! Gary Clarke, Jr., is probably the highlight of that entire 2 DVD set. "When My Train Pulls In" is absolutely amazing and I must have watched it 25 times by now! I've got a whole new respect for him.
