I just finished filming the new video clips that will accompany Blues You Can Use, 2nd ed.! It was a lot of fun, as well as educational (I never filmed video in a professional studio before.) I covered what I could, and what was budgeted. There are 31 clips in all, covering scales (10 clips), chords and progressions (14) and studies (7 - yeah, only 7 of the 21 studies). That means that much was left out. C'est la vie.
The clips are essentially me explaining various aspects of the book like I would in a lesson, and based on 25 years of teaching the material.
Thank you to everyone who made suggestions. They were all helpful, whether they made the cut or not.
Anyway, I'm pretty excited and anxious to see the footage (I haven't yet). I have no idea when it will all be out and available, but I will keep you posted.
That's very exciting, must have been fun too! I'm really looking forward to getting the second edition and working through the book again. I think the videos will add tremendously to it, and having a real live person teaching you adds a lot of motivation as well I think.
