Here's lesson 6 from "Jazzin' The Blues". A couple of missed notes, but I like the tone. Oh well... Bruce

I enjoy your videos, Bruce. It's evident you have fun making them. Aside from your video production skills, you performed well, too. You're zipping through the book. Hello Mr. Christian was a fun tune to learn. Looking forward to seeing your videos of the rest Jazzin the Blues.

Thanks, Tbone and TommyD. I think this may have been my favorite song in the book so far (although I liked "Blues For Charlie" quite a bit, too).

Bruce, Your playing is good and it's a cool song and all that, but the last line of the credits is off center. Let's get with the program. A little more attention to detail would be nice. Phil

Very nice an smooth Bruce! About the only suggestion I can offer is that when you release pressure on the chords, you might want to try and do it a little more instantaneously, as there's a tiny bit of fret buzz when the chords come to an end if you don't release pressure fast enough. Overall fantastic job though! Love your videos; if I knew that not only was the record button pressed, but there was a camera rolling too, I wouldn't make it past the third note without a major train wreck

Phil Yeah, Phil, I obviously missed the last line when I was selecting this text for center justification. I didn't see it until I'd already made it into a movie, and I confess, I didn't think it was worth it to go back and fix this and then remake the movie. I've sort of set the goal here as "fun" rather than "perfection". Otherwise, I'd still be remaking the first video over and over... Bruce

It's funny that we feel so much pressure just trying to record or video ourselves - imagine what it must be like to play live in front of people! I'll go back and watch the video and see if I can recognize the fret buzz and where it's coming in. When playing, I always seem to get more fret buzz on the SX than on the Strat - it seems to have a wider fretboard, taller frets, and a little bit different action. Bruce

I fully understand what Jack is saying about recording or videoing myself with the guitar. I find I can be playing something at home and feel it would not be too embarrassing for someone to hear. But as soon as I start to play for my instructor it's like I've never seen the music before or held a guitar! I'll call it performance anxiety. When people find out I play (torture) guitar they ask if they can hear me. They are promptly informed that few will ever hear me play. Only my guitar instructor, because he gets paid to sit through it, and my cats, because I feed them!

I have to say that I do get some comfort in knowing that I'm not the only one who suffers from this. One of my biggest fears is that someone will find out I play and ask me to play something. That's why I try to keep it a secret. Phil
