That was a pretty long video, so I had to put it off until the evening. It was certainly interesting to hear a hand surgeon's perspective on the arthritis and tendonitis involving our fingers, thumbs, and wrists. I don't like hearing about the genetic side of osteoarthritis, as my mom's hands are really badly affected with it. I've been pretty lucky to this point in my life in this regard. JG talks frequently in his books about keeping a "light touch", and I think we all naturally learn not to keep the "death grip" as we learn to play better over time. I still try to consciously think about this from time to time. It's also interesting to hear their perspectives on string gages and that ongoing argument. I hardly ever play my acoustic guitars anymore, and I think a lot of that has to do with those thick strings. Thanks for sharing that.
