HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Well, we're doing an update on the first of the new year - so feel free to chime in with your New Year Resolutions if you have any!
I've had a good week! Practised *every* day and managed to get two recordings done too!
My intention this week is to continue with daily practise. Working on BYCU - Major Blues; an AM piece; Solo Blues Guitar - Solo 2; and some rhythm and improv bits.

Yes, a Happy New Year to all! The holiday festivities and sequential houseguests have rather destroyed my guitar practice for the past couple of weeks, but I'm ready to get back on board now. I'm intending to try to do some recording, too. Nothing really makes you face up to your playing deficiencies like recording something! I've never been a big one for "New Years resolutions", but I do have some things in mind that I would like to accomplish in the next year (both musically and otherwise), so maybe I should make some formal resolutions...

Happy new years everyone! I had a generally okay week of practice. I decided to work on "What You Give" by Tesla. It's got a cool acoustic guitar riff for the intro and verses, and some chord strumming for the choruses. A couple of electrics also join for the choruses, and there's a solo and plenty of fills. So far I've got the main riff (somewhat) memorized but I'm still working on the strumming patterns for the choruses etc. Haven't even started on the solo or fills yet. Well I guess, it is just the first of the month so I've got some time Resolutions? I dunno, I've been having kind of a good time doin' what I'm doin'

Happy New Years! Classes been out, so been going over the material we had and some practice routines. Also bought a 1 year subscription to fender play had a 90 percent off code for $15 figured was worth a year. So been using the riff section to go over some riffs from various songs.

Happy New Year everyone! A weekly update that also falls on the 1st day of the year. Coincidence? I think not. I stopped making New Year's Resolutions a couple of years ago. I never kept them so what was the point? However, I would like to record at least 1 video this year. (If I set the bar low enough I might accomplish something.) Spent most of the week working on walking bass on a Blues progression with chord "stabs". I'm still having problems with nerve pain in the tip of my ring finger when fretting. Hope it goes away eventually.

My pain is sharp like a short electric shock. And it's deep. It feels like the string is rubbing right against the bone. It's improving, so I hope it disappears soon.
