Well, I'm now on holiday until January!!! This weekend I managed to record a Micro Lesson and posted it I want to structure my playing a bit more - perhaps 2 hours a day, 6 days a week for the next 2 weeks. This is my short term goal; I want to focus on Some Blues Rhythm, Improv and AM/BYCU pieces. With that said I am starting to make headway with BYCU Ninth Chord Blues (REDUX) - working through it I remember it wasn't a favourite of mine as I found it tough to work through all the chord changes between lines and I am facing a similar issue at the mo Still, gives me something to work on

I had an okay week - major accomplishment was getting the Christmas cards done lol Working on "Backdoor Santa," I've got the first solo and the rhythm part up to the second solo recorded. Who knows, maybe today I'll get the second solo and the remainder of the rhythm part finished. Griff is teaching us the third solo on Tuesday I believe. I used the lalal.ai "voice cleaner" site to get the vocals from the original song - that worked really good. Maybe I can get the whole song finished up this week, then move on to something else. Hope you all have a good week and a very merry Christmas

I've managed to stick with Guitar Aerobics every day this past week, and most days have added in some additional playing from one of the several other books I have lying around my desk space. Our much-delayed condo construction is hitting the home stretch (interior is painted, and most of the lights and switches are installed), so I'll hopefully be moving within the next several months. When we move, I will actually have a guitar/music space again!

Hey guys. Popping back in again. Don't have much to talk about regarding progress over the past few weeks, but I am having a problem. I've been getting a sharp shock-like pain in the tip of my ring finger when fretting a string. It's like the string is directly touching the bone. I think it's a nerve thing. In other words it has nothing to do with callouses. Anybody here ever experience this? I'm thinking the only thing to do about it is to avoid playing for a while and see if it goes away. Man, if it ain't one problem it's another.

But why doesn't stuff like this happen when you're going thru a period of not wanting to play? No, it always happens when you want to play.

Man, if it ain't one problem it's another. I think I've experienced that before, but for me it only lasted a few seconds and then it went away. And this from a guy who's walking around normally, then I feel like I broke a bone in my foot so I'm hobbling around for an hour, and then it goes back to normal. WTF??? Well, have a nice big glass of eggnog, put on the Hallmark Channel, and take it easy for a while
