So, magic happened... Basically, having not played the Strat (Paloma) for over two years, last night I pulled her out, plugged her into the new Catalyst amp, cranked up the overdrive pedal and... WOW!!! For some reason, it inspired me to work on my next BYCU REDUX piece, Lazy Day Blues. I learnt it in under 10 minutes (amazing how much my memory had stored somewhere in the back) and spent the next hour playing it over and over. Absolute heaven. Felt like I couldn't play a note wrong! This morning, I got up early and recorded! Did it in one take! The strat just feels wonderfully different at the moment - different to everything else I have. Thinner, lighter, easier to play. I think I've found a new love for it. Enjoy!

BTW - I love hearing my fingers slide on the strings so I did that where I felt it worked and was appropriate for the piece.
This *HAS* to be my best recording to date!

Good stuff WPB! Boy, those old songs bring back a lot of memories I hear what you're saying about one guitar being a lot easier to play than another - when I did "Diary of a Madman" I used my white Les Paul (because it has active EMG pickups) and the neck on that thing is huge. Made the solo twice as hard to play as it should have been. Since then I've been using my Jackson with it's pencil-thin neck.

Great recording, Wanna Play! Love hearing these BYCU tunes done so well. Yeah, I love the neck on my Stratocaster, too!

Well done, WPB. And, once again, I have to say I really like your tone.
