Not a bad week, got "Good Times Bad Times" finished and I'm actually kinda sorta happy with it lol. Now I'm getting started on "Diary of a Madman" by Ozzy, with Randy Rhoads on guitar. The intro to that is the first thing I ever learned on guitar, back in 1984 with my 3/4 size acoustic from the renowned luthiers at the Sears & Roebuck company. For the solo Randy uses the Hungarian minor scale, which is the 4th mode of the double harmonic major scale (it's like harmonic minor except with a raised 4th). So that's a tad bit out of the ordinary It's a long song with plenty of parts; Randy always liked to build to a climax - not just rock out through the whole song - and this is kind of the ultimate example of his classical composition style. So I'll see what I can get done with this. Hope you guys are all doing well.

Had a good first week back! Started back through BYCU - this will all be on video this time too - and recorded "Blues Rock" (see other post about it) Am almost set for recording an ActiveMelody EP which I've been working on. Also found some awesome amp emulation software the works on Win/Mac/linux - and as a Linux user I'm blown away about it Like how quick and easy it is to get recording now that everything is ready to go!

Wow, Sunday again already. Well I did not accomplish much of anything guitar-wise this week . In fact, had more "skip days" than practice days this past week. I've got to get it back together! I've just been busy with a million other things. Jack, sounds like you've got another great project mapped out. WPB, interesting to go back through BYCU - I'm sure you can knock those out of the park now. I have unfortunately confirmed the opposite of your discovery - that it is NOT quick and easy to record when you don't have everything set up and ready to go. I very much look forward to having a dedicated space when we finally move into our condo. The apartment was supposed to be a temporary stop for about two years, but we've now been here five years as the condo project has been beset with never-ending delays. They are progressing, though, with completion currently projected for this fall...

I did have a couple of good practice days, but also missed some days. That's pretty standard for me nowadays.
I played some different stuff, BB King, Leavitt's book, and like WPB I also dug out one of my old books. Not very consistent, but I am happy I played some...

I thought today was Sunday. I guess I missed a day.
Didn't touch the guitar all week. That was by design. Since I missed 3 or 4 days last week I decided to not play for another full week and see if that would create some pent up desire to play. I'll keep you posted.
