I made a recording of Delta Mood:

I am not 100% on the beat everywhere, and I heard a botched note, but I can't do it much better at the moment, and I want to move on.
It was a cool track to practice, though, and it really improved my cross-string picking accuracy.
I used my new guitar (shown in my signature), an Ephiphone Riviera Custom P93. It's a regular Riviera, except it has P90 pickups instead of humbuckers. I wanted a hollowbody for Jazz and a guitar with P90s for blues, so the Riviera served two purposes... It's a beautiful instrument and easy to play. I asked earlier if a guitar setup is important - I think I can now answer affirmative, because this guitar is almost perfectly setup and much easier to play than my Epiphone LP. It's a bit bulky, which takes some getting used to, and the pickups are very close to the strings, so for the first couple of days I constantly hit the pickups with the pick. It also picks up quite some noise on my ungrounded Fender Super Champ. Hopefully grounding the amp will help.
In my other recordings, I used the clean channel with an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. In this recording I started to play around with the modeling capabilities of the amp, and I chose a Fender Bassman setup with medium gain + Fender Spring Reverb effect. Maybe it's too much, but I got playful... It sounds better live, but the USB recording captures some of the effect.
Now I am getting to the good stuff in BYCU!
