For all you Americans on here - this one's for you! Took me several takes to record this - and I certainly feel recording unaccompanied is FAR more daunting and only serves to highlight mistakes See what you think. Played in freetime, no metronome or aid. Effects were compressor and 2 reverbs (spring and hall).

Very cleanly played, WPB. I agree that unaccompanied playing is the most "exposed" and daunting, can't hide any mistakes.

That was truly beautiful WPB, the chords added a real richness to it - a very unique and wonderful interpretation of the song. And great playing!

That was impressive, WPB. That's exactly the kind of stuff I've been working except in a different genre and you're doing it better than I can. If you ever get bitten by the Jazz bug you'll be playing chord melodies of the standards from the get go.
Playing clean with no accompaniment definitely makes every little flaw stand out, but you didn't have that problem. It sounded great.
