Well, finally got this one done and dusted! As I had the day off from work today I had a proper play with my Line6 Spider V120 amp - using the USB into Linux and it just worked!!!
Not only that, with JACK it saw the left and right inputs seperately, so I correctly panned left and right, which was nice! The reverb was applied in the DAW. The amp model I selected was a "Brit J-900 Dist" (based on the lead channel of a 1992 Marshall JCM-900) - and set the guitar to the bridge pickup.
I think it turned out really well and was a one-take-wonder.

Good stuff WPB, the chordal stuff made a nice contrast to the rest of it. Really good sound too with the bridge pickup. And very well played

Nicely done, Wannaplay! Killer tone, well-played, great timing. I'm loving these, and I think those backing tracks are really nicely done
