My son runs his Godin nylon string guitar through a powered speaker. He said it's the best sound he's ever got. Much better than any guitar amp he has tried. However, he now wants to add a bit of reverb.
Anybody got a recommendation for a good reverb pedal based on your personal experience?

I've got a Fender Marine Layer Reverb, but of course I do 99.9% of my playing through Amplitube 4 software so my experience with it is very limited. It seemed like it had a wide variety of sounds if you started fooling around with it. One thing I don't like about the Fender pedals if they've got a bright LED in the middle, and reading the labels on the knobs and switches is like trying to read the fine print with a spotlight in your face It's kind of expensive at $170. If I had it to do again I think I'd choose something else, but here's a demo of it if you want to check it out:

Thanks, Jack. If you're not happy with that pedal I'm sure he wouldn't be either especially at that price. Knowing what to avoid is good info.

my old jet city amp did not have reverb so i picked up a Behringer RV600 (Reverb machine) which was a clone of Line6 Verbzilla. It did the trick, but I sold it off when i got rid of the Jet City. It's really more of a reverb multi effects unit. I also had a Boss RV-3 but it just stopped working one day. I'd recommend both of them for pedal reverb.

Thanks, Marc. On a jazz guitar forum the TC-Electronics Hall of Fame ($110) seems to get good reviews. Any body had experience with this pedal?
