This is from "Beginning Solo Guitar First Jazz Standards". Stays mostly down in "cowboy chord" land of the fretboard. Definitely got some clunkers in there, but that's where it is right now. I'll keep working this one, it's coming along.

I liked that. Lots of nice bass movement. It's usually played in either Gm or Em, but sounds great in Am. Gives you access to those open strings. That final chord is beautiful. It looks (and sounds to me) like you're playing x0241x. Am I right? What do they call it in your book? I'm guessing Am(add9). Anyway, it's a beautiful sounding chord. I tried to play that exact voicing elsewhere on the neck and it's impossible (at least for me). Just goes to show what you can do in "cowboy chord" land.
Coincidentally, I saw an interview earlier tonight of guitarist Mike Moreno and the interviewer told a story about Joe Diorio poking fun at Joe Pass for playing a cowboy D chord. Pass blew him off - said it's a perfectly valid chord.
What other songs are in that book?

That was beautiful, Bruce! And great sound. It must've taken quite some time to work all that up to that level. It sounds great fingerstyle - I wouldn't be able to do that.

Nice selection of songs. I know the chords and melodies to 7 of them but not solo guitar arrangements. Currently working on "Don't Get Around Much Anymore." I haven't attempted any solo guitar stuff in a long, long time. You've inspired me to get back into it.
