Nice job J, how far did you get last time, I made it to 4 but never got it recorded.

Really nice job on that Joachim! So you're looking for folks to follow you on your More BYCU journey, eh? I make no guarantees, but I'll get that book out tomorrow and start working on it. Last time I spent 99% of my time on the studies - this time I'd really like to delve into the text more, and actually learn what John is trying to teach us

Nice playing, Joachim.
I just listened to my recordings of MBYCU made 5-6 years ago. I haven't heard them in years. They're a bit cringe inducing, but now I wonder if I've even made any real progress since then. I don't know if I could play any of them any better than I did back then, and I'm not so sure that I want to find out either.

That's a really nice recording of "Chord On Bleu", Joachim. I've never made it past "Cheap Runs"... MBYCU will have to wait on my back burner for now.

T-bone, it would certainly be at a slow pace for me as well. 2-4 for weeks for a study sounds like something I'd try stick to as well. I'd love to try and mix the studies with the lick book. Jack, let's do it! You've been dipping your toes in that old-man's-metal long enough... Mick, I don't remember how far I got last time. I think I got quite far, but couldn't bring the studies up to speed. Whether I'll be able to this now, I don't know, but I'd like to learn the studies and exercises again, and try not to forget them immediately. With R&BYCU I sometimes replay the earlier studies and mix it up a little. I'd try the same with MBYCU. Phil, why not give it a go? With all your jazz training you should be able to do something nice with the studies and inspire us. Bruce, I also have too much on my plate. Maybe it's silly to start on MBYCU, but I have an urge to try it. I am not abandoning BLYCU or R&BYCU, though. If I have to cut back on something, it will be on MBYCU.

I'd like to but for me it would be an either/or between that and BLYCU, and I'm going to stick with BLYCU. I'm impressed how much you guys can juggle simultaneously!

I will take my time with all three projects. Maybe MBYCU will turn out to be overwhelming once again, I will see. But first of all I am fully commited to seeing BLYCU through - then R&BYCU and MBYCU will come second. I am a fairly new subscriber to Active Melodies also, but I've given up on those lessons - working out of John's books is more enjoyable for me.

Yeah I was planning on really delving into the Active Melody stuff as well, but no sooner had I subscribed than I got interested in other stuff. Lots of great stuff out there, but just not enough hours in the day.

Good luck on your efforts towards this goal, Joachim. I will surely join you when I eventually reach this point in the series.
